Full Anchor text or Partial match anchor text links
Many webmasters wonder if they should give up link building altogether. Not at all! Search engines collect a ton of data through links to better understand your content and how valuable it is. Recognizing these link signals can help you make the most out of every link you gain. Do you have any tips on anchor text? Let us know in the comment below!
You will have better results in partial match anchor text links than 100% exact match anchor text links which looks a bit unnatural irrespective of the domain name / authority etc.
This SEOMoz video explains the scenario very well.
Example: if your keyword is “dog training tips” you should vary anchor texts like “dog training” “dog training tips” “training dogs” “how to train dog” instead having all 100% anchor text links as “dog training tips”
